| Oceanwood Country Inn, located on Mayne Island in the Southern
Gulf Islands, was established in 1990. Since then, it has not
only acquired a large clientele, but also has been featured in
many reputable publications such as Fodor's Guide, Best Places
to Kiss, North West Best Places, Frommer's, Andrew Harper's Hideaway,
New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Situated on a secluded 10 acre waterfront parcel with its own
private bay and stunning views across Navy Channel, the Inn offers
12 beautifully appointed guest rooms (all en-suite, 8 with fireplaces
and 9 with private decks). The common rooms are living room, games
room, library, sun room, and meeting room. These gracious yet
comfortable rooms are designed to offer guests a choice of quiet
corners or places to mingle. The garden-level dining room (30
intimate seats) overlooking Navy Channel, serves West Coast Cuisine
and British Columbia wines to Inn guests as well as other visitors.
The 1080 sq.ft. Owner's residence, also with lovely waterview,
contains 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open-plan living/dining combination
with fireplace, galley kitchen and private decks.
As well as an abundance of Arbutus, Cedars and Firs
surrounding the Inn and adjacent gardens, there is also an orchard
and vegetable and herb gardens.
